Mysteries of the Deep - Marine Planet

About Mysteries of the Deep
Here we are looking at some of the Strange Creatures that we come across while exploring our Deep Blue oceans and waterways. If you find something that yopu want to find out what it is, share it with us here on the Dive Planet website.

Latest Species to Identify

Attach an MPG4 video file here about something that I do not know what it is. It was filmed 1988 at Heron Island. I was fist looking at this thing and nothing happened, but as soon as I put the light on it retracted.

I have made the last half in 50% slow motion so to have time to see more. Can you help identify this marine creature. If so please email
info@diveplanet.co.nz and tell us what this creature is.

Updated - This species has now been Identified with many thanks to Cesar Cardenas from my Facebook contacts. This species is the proboscis (a feeding appendage) of an echiuran, probably a kind of Bonellia (green spoonworm)
