How To Clean Salmon

When cleaning fish salmon, it works out more cost effective purchasing the fish already filleted, skin on with the bones. Take the salmon fillet and place on a chopping board skin side down. With your fish filleting knife separate the salmon skin from the flesh as in photo by pressing down on the knife and moving the blade back and forth starting from the tail end, working your way towards the thickest part.

With heavy culinary tweezers remove the fine bones which you can locate by running your hand over the flesh. Pluck the bones out one by one, there are more bones towards the head.
