Duncan has traveled, photographed and filmed, extensively throughout the world, from fighting bull elephant seals on the Antarctic Island of South Georgia to 4m tiger sharks in the crystal blue waters off Grand Bahama. He then braved the elements of the South Atlantic for 3 years working from the Falkland Islands down to Antarctica, as a marine biologist and freelance cameraman. From there he thawed out working as director of media operations and assistant manger at the world renowned Bimini Biological Field Station for 2.5 years. Jillian Morris: Exec Director, Education Coordinator Videographer |
|
Jillian has traveled, filmed and photographed extensively across the globe, from the Outback wildlife of Western Australia to the prolific coral reefs of Indonesia. After graduating from the University of New England with a bachelor's degree in Animal Behavior, Jillian worked on projects with Mote Marine Lab, National Geographic Critter Cam, Dr Samuel Gruber and the Bimini Biological Field Station (Sharklab) and Dr Sylvia Earle before moving to Australia to work on the Shark Bay Ecological Research Project.
During this time Jillian logged hundreds of hours in the water filming, photographing and diving with some of the world's largest apex predators. With a camera always in hand, she quickly realized that both photos and videos provide graphic and powerful tools for education. Two years of working as a freelance cameraman and camera pro at H20 Photo Pros allowed her to hone her skills with a wide range of cameras and formats, from Nikon and Canon to Sony HD and Panasonic. Jillian has recently returned to life on the ocean, joining an ecotourism liveaboard where she is currently filming and photographing sharks and dolphins, collecting stock footage and developing conservation educational materials.
Through her travels Jillian has worked on a wide range of projects from filming white sharks from outside the cage to diving unexplored cenotes of the Yucatan. She is a PDIC Scuba instructor, rebreather diver, avid freediver and underwater model. Jillian also writes for numerous publications and websites, while building a library of shark related educational materials.
