Pauls Great White Shark Photos

I took this photo above while facing my foe the might predator the Great White shark while on an adventure with Andrew and Rodney Fox in South Australia, 18th - 21 of October 2008. The Great white sharks are in grave danger of being wiped out and we need to do all we can to protect these mighty creatures of the worlds oceans. The Great White sharks like all other sharks and marine life in our oceans create a unique balance and this has to be protected in order to ensure a harmonious ecosystem.

Our oceans provide 75% of the worlds oxygen so creating an imbalance here can have dire consequences for mankind.

Take action and Help Save The Great White Sharks

Shark Diving Rodney Fox is truly an amazing experience and I would highly recommend this adventure diving to anyone. Andrew and Rodney have helped others like myself see our attackers in a different light, giving us a glimps into the world of the Great White Shark. This shark above came in fast and close to the cage then turning at a great rate of knots giving us all a massive rush of excitement. The more we learn about them the better we can understand how they act the way they do.

The Great white sharks like many other species of shark are facing extinction and it is our Fear and Greed that could be our own undoing. I highly recommend you read this section Sharks Under Seige

The Great White Sharks really do see the world as we do as they have binocular vision. Taking this into account I really do feel sorry for this fellow as he has two smaller fish swimming at the front of his nose. This must be something that they get use to as I am sure seeing that all of my days would drive me completely nuts.

Watching the Sharks from the cage is very reassuring but there is still an amount of apprehension especially when they come and take a bait within a few feet of you.

Wow, What an amazing sight, seeing this Great White Shark in a hard downward turn. Here we get a great look at his Claspers (Penis) Yep that's right you are seeing correctly as they have two of them. I know what you are thinking some guys have all the luck!! Taking this onboard it is easy to see why mating is a rough time for the females.

The Claspers have prongs much like that of a flesh hook that once inserted into the female shark allows the male to lock in better. The male sharks sink their teeth deep into the upper side of the females while they entwine for breeding purposes.
