Why do Underwater Photography

About Underwater Photography

1. The best thing that I have found with underwater photography is being able to capture fun moments or magical scenes underwater. Then being able to come home and marvel over them with my wife and children. Helping our younger generation to see the creatures and stunning beauty that lies beneath will aid in protecting our resources.

A lot of divers have partners that don't dive so being able to take home pictures to show them of what we see and do gives them a better understanding of our passion for doing it. In some cases this can be a novel way of encouraging your partner to take up the sport of diving, as they will be thinking. “ Hey why should he have all the fun? I‘m going to get in on this and show him how to take photos”.

2. The second reason for filming underwater is for fun, as it is awesome going down there taking photos of creatures in macro mode or wide-angle views of walls full of colour and life. Then being able to return to the surface gaining more information about the names of what we have seen. Not only is it fun but also creates enthusiasm for future explorations and learning about our aquatic realm along the way.

3. Lastly we do this because we can. So why not make the most out of our sport and enjoy a new world of possibilities. I know that you are thinking this must be really expensive to get into. Basically it will be only as expensive as you want to make it. This all depends on how far you want to go so in the next section we look at the costs associated with underwater photography.
