I am some what suprised and shock a petition is even required, this brutality must be stopped, ( Rob Auckland)

Please stop the trade in sharks and shark products, especially finning. For a developed nation such as New Zealand I find it hard to accept that your government allows such barbaric bahavior in its territorial waters and terrestrial boundaries. Mark Thorpe (International)

Shark fining is not part of New Zealands culture so why do we allow this to happen. The NZ government needs to get some balls and put a stop to this practice by stopping the imports of shark fin products and they also need to impose massive fines against any person dealing in the sharkfin trade within New Zealand. New Zealand comes across as a clean green welcoming country, so why does New Zealand allow this to happen. This has changed my view of New Zealand and I may chose another destination to visit as this is unacceptable, Steve (International)
