Hi Paul and Dive Planet Group,
I think it is fantastic that you are making us all aware about the plight of the sharks. This is something that I will spread the word about as we can make a stance against this and be victorious. Who else is going to speak for the sharks and make a stand for what is right. I don't like sharks really as they scare me but I do not believe any Species should be driven to extinction. Dive Planet has opened my eyes and maybe one day I will face my fears as you have and see them for the amazing creatures that they are. Thanks Lucas, NZ

Please stop the trade in sharks and shark products, especially finning. For a developed nation such as New Zealand I find it hard to accept that your government allows such barbaric bahavior in its territorial waters and terrestrial boundaries. Mark Thorpe

Shark fining is not part of New Zealands culture so why do we allow this to happen. The NZ government needs to get some balls and put a stop to this practice by stopping the imports of shark fin products and they also need to impose massive fines against any person dealing in the sharkfin trade within New Zealand. New Zealand comes across as a clean green welcoming country, so why does New Zealand allow this to happen. This has changed my view of New Zealand and I may chose another destination to visit as this is unacceptable, Steve (International)

I am very surprised that our country would even consider or allow such an act against our marine life. We already have less and less around these days and any further pressure will impact on our sea eco system dramatically. I presume its for Asian markets, well they should stop rapping and pillaging other countries. Its not out fault they did that to their own. Leave ours be ours! Its so disapointing. Mike Nelson

Hi, From what I have read on the Internet, tens of millions of sharks die every year a slow adonising death because of this. It is inhumane and barbaric to cut off the shark's fins leaving body in the sea. The sharks starve to death and are eaten alive by other fish, or drown. Unfortunately some Asian countries does not even think much of their humans, let alone animals. Yes it is right out barbaric by us humans. How can we do this. Think of this next time you eat sharkfinsoup or similar products. Tony International

PSFNZ wants everyone to boycott Restaurants and Suppliers of Shark Fin Products.

PSFNZ will make this barbaric practice known to all New Zealander's that are unaware of the slaughtering that is occuring in our Country.

PSFNZ wants everyone to voice to government departments the need to stop the slaughter and save our Oceans before it is too late. Tourism in NZ will suffer for our allowance of Shark Finning.
