We have been venturing out to the Aldermen Islands to some of those very scenic dive locations like the Orca Bay site. Open-water divers really love this location as they can explore this relatively shallow area with ease and confidence surrounded by 100's of different species of marine life.
The visibility that we have had reported back to us from divers has estimated it as being 15 to 20 odd metres. The water temp is climbing past 20 degrees Celsius now; the only thing that is missing is having you down here with us so come on down and bring your cameras as well.
The many divers that we have taken to the Aldermen Islands have really enjoyed the diving and dive sites that we have frequented. Lens reef is still a favorite site and those big fat crayfish are here waiting for you.
Fish species like the Sandagger Wrasse always put on a good show as we all know how they seem to interact with divers, as if we are the ones on display and being admired.
After having a lunch breaks all our divers have been really keen to get back in the tide especially with the beautiful weather that we are now experiencing.
Some of the other Dive sites we have been exploring include the vagina bay dive site; that you should come and explore. This site is where hunters do well; maybe due to the tight cracks that lay here with a nice covering of kelpie growth, along with the pinnacles that litter this site.
I jumped in to lead two of our divers around this site. On descending we were passed by an eagle ray that gracefully glided past making for some great photo and video opportunities. We even explored one of the many caves and crevasses, inside was an old commercial Cray-pot that was empty and discarded. Once again lots of spotted demoiselles and Sandagger wrasse. All in all a very pleasant trips we have been having with calm seas and sunny days.
