Whangaroa harbour is an extensive harbour in upper northland that leads out to stunning dive locations on offer along the east coast. There are multiple camps within this area like the Tauranga Bay motorcamp right on the waters edge. This location is one of my favorites as it is here that I can go for a Freedive and get some Paua then don my tanks and explore the outer reefs gathering some Crayfish for dinner along with some big fat juicy scallops.
