| Mangawhai Heads all last week and a great spot to hold up for a while. There was a lot of wind about with the boat and golf clubs getting an equal workout in the end. Visibility about the islands (when you could get out) was the best I've seen for a while from all the easterly blue water being pushed in (Coast on the other hand was trashed!). Was quite fishy and had no trouble eating seafood for the weeks break despite not getting out everyday, fish caught included snapper, crays, mackerel (Maz prepares a mean mackerel sashimi), trevally, butters and squid . The big eye to the right in the photo is a squid not a mutant snapper. |
