Annes Rock is known to some people as Astrid's wall in my opinion is much like the other walls around the legendary Poor Knight Islands. These walls harbour an astonishing amount of life from the anemones and foliage that seem to be dancing in the tidal motions. To the Blennies and Leather jackets that trim these mystical gardens of Eden.
Moray eels have some of the best homes along these wall faces taking the unsuspecting diver off guard at times in a pleasant way. The most common Moray's to be seen are the yellow Moray eels as well as the occasionally spotted Mosaic eel.
At Annes Rock the encrusted life clinging to the wall looks like a patchwork blanket of yellow, reds, orange and green sponges. Coral formations with Nudibranchs are sure to please.
When investigating these areas please do your utmost to ensure the survival of all life by avoiding grabbing or touching the delicate life forms.
