Bird Rock Poor Knights Islands

About Bird Rock

Dive Bird Rock, This is another good dive location with it's own uniqueness of the rock formations. Bird Rock is more suited to advanced divers as the currents here can be strong at times. Marine life is plentiful having school fish and King-fish cruising this area.

Sightings of Bronze whaler shark s are common, but they disperse just as quick as they seem to appear due to the noise of divers and their bubbles. Carpet sharks have also been seen here. Abundant kelp folialage with the famed crayfish can be seen hiding in the nooks and crannies.

Photography here can be good as well taking in the natural formations and encrusted life that brings the area to life here. Diving this location is not as common as other locations around the Poor Knights as many other spots offer more interesting sites closer to hand.
