The Chimney is part of the Red Baron Dive Site here at the Poor Knights Islands. Hovering here in the middle of this chimney taking in the majestic movements of the pink Mao-mao is simply breath taking to say the least, then as you gradually ascend within their level you can capture some great photos of these.
Here at the Chimney if you are lucky enough like some other divers have been you may see a pair of Lord Howe Island coral fish. These fish can be found around the 10-metre mark eventhough it is unusual to see them at this depth. These fish are unlike a lot of fish as they only mate with one partner for life.
The chimney area offers an assortment of Nudibranchs that can be found around here at the 5-metre mark making another great opportunity to capture these majestic creatures on film for an everlasting memory of the adventurous Poor Knights dive site.
