When diving at the Pinakitanga Point this area can rather a swift tidal flow as the currents sweep around the south-eastern corner of Aorangi island. This are is best suited to advanced divers for this fact. You can see an assortment of fish species here including the Wrasse and the odd Goatfish that frequent this area. Sea urchins can be spotted here as they can be around most parts of the Poor Knights.
