Rikoriko Cave Poor Knights Islands

Rikoriko Cave Dive Site

Right here in good old NZ Rikoriko Cave is reported to be the largest in the southern hemisphere and has the potential to be the largest in the world. The best way to explore the magical Poor Knights and this cave in particular is by a live-a-board diving adventure. As with this option it is possible to anchor right here in the cave seizing the opportunity to have a mystical night dive circumnavigating this extraordinary spot.

It is almost impossible to get lost in Riko Riko cave and that surely is a major advantage especially when taking in the adventure that night diving has to offer. Not only is this a safe dive but one of great delight to see very rare Nudibranchs that are never seen during the daylight hours.

Photographic opportunities are tremendous in the darkness of night as you glide your way around spotting the odd Cray taking a stroll, fish in sleep mode as well as shots of the more bizarre creatures that come out in the open.
