Descending down the drop-line to the wreck seeing it covered with jewel anemones gives an initial indication of the amount of life that is present. Upon reaching the wreck you will find her lying on the port side covered in growth, surrounded by golden snapper, demoiselles and other school-fish cruising her breadth and width.
The Tui is broken in half with the entranceways surrounded by fish that are now the inhabitants of this underwater playground. Qualified divers should only perform penetration of the vessel, as on this wreck it is very cramped and unnerving. Even the bubbles from divers can dislodge particles making the area cloud up drastically reducing visibility.
The funnel is now lying on the ground full of Big-eye's making this a pleasant swim-through. As well as the funnel the walkways make for nice swim-throughs. Even the staircases to the bridge appear that they could be used.
For the photographer in mind this is a great dive site featuring opportunities to capture marine life and the ships debris.
